Finding A Niche Market That Will Make You Money.

Many people earn their livings with online niche marketing, including me.   Once you know how to do it, it is an easy and fun way to make anywhere from a little extra cash to a full time living.

When I first started though, I had what I like to call analysis paralysis when I was trying to identify a niche market.  Through sheer determination, and after making plenty of mistakes, I found some niche markets that make me money.  Here is how I did it.

#1.  Look for genuine need.

When you are working on finding a niche market that will make you money, you need a niche marketing strategy.  One of the best strategies is to look for genuine need.  If you target a problem that people are embarrased about…  like weight loss, acne, hair loss, or just about any minor medical problem, and offer them a real solution, they will be much more likely to buy from you.

#2.  Be aware that you will fail and move forward anyway.

During my interenet marketing career, I’ve had the pleasure of being associated with some of the best minds in niche affiliate marketing.  I’m talking about people that make 6 and even 7 figures a year.  

Without exception each of these people fails regularly.  In fact so do I.  There are plenty of pages and sites that I own that have not worked for me at all.  This is something the gurus don’t tell you… because it doesn’t help in selling their books and courses.

The thing is… sometimes you have to go through what doesn’t work to get to what does.  It is completely normal… they key is to not give up.  If you keep at it you will find niche markets that are profitable for you

So when you are working on finding a niche market, don’t be afraid.  Some of them will not work.  That is OK.  Some of them will work.  Focus on what is working and move quickly to the next thing if you have a niche market that isn’t working.

Niche Marketing Ideas

There are many ideas floating around out there about how to make money with niche markets.  And actually many different niche marketing ideas do work.  Today, I will share with you two niche marketing strategies that have worked well for me.

What most people struggle with is analysis paralysis when it comes to finding a niche market and what I like to call "super attachement syndrome", where you want to keep working on a niche even though it doesn’t appear to be working.

Let’s deal with the first one.

Strategy #1. How to overcome analysis paralysis

When I first started out in this business I had what I like to call "Analysis Paralysis".  I couldn’t make a decision to save my life.  I was utterly afraid that whatever decision I made would be wrong, wrong, wrong.  So instead of doing something I did nothing. 

Then I made a brilliant discovery about marketing online.  You see one of the people I look up to greatly in this business, Travis Sago (of Bum Marketing Fame), said that when he was starting out only 1 of every 4 campaigns worked for him.  How about that?  1 of 4!  Now Travis is very involved at the forum where I learned internet marketing and it has been quite some time since he stopped posting what he earns, but I know for sure he makes a mind boggling amount of money doing internet marketing.

So armed with this information, I just started choosing niches and acting.  Guess what?  The action brought money.  It’s amazing I know!  But just knowing that someone as successful as Travis doesn’t get it right all of the time is incrediably freeing.  It totally broke my analysis paralysis.

Strategy #2: Breaking away from "Super Attachment Syndrome":

One of my biggest struggles when working on my niche markets is to know when to move on.  You see I like to beat some things to death.  This particular personality quirk of mine is good, because not giving up is what helped me finally make money online, but it is not so good when I am trying to make a niche market make me money and it just won’t.

I learned to let go by following a system.  I build 1 campaign a week, and see what the results are.   If they are good, I do some scaling WHILE I am building my next campaign.  It works really well and keeps me from trying to work on a failing campaign.

Real Estate Careers - It’s Easier to Get Started Than You Think

Since you want to get started with real estate careers it can be helpful to know exactly what the outlook for jobs are. In these days you want to make sure you get started on the right career path so you know you will always have security. The good news is that real estate has great business outlook.

If you think about it, it really makes since that the government predicts average to better than average growth for real estate careers. There will always be people who are looking to buy or sell their residential and commerical property. People will always need a place to live and conduct business.

That doesn’t mean, however, that being a real estate agent means stead commissions all the time. There are definitely ups and downs that come along with being an agent. The winter periods, for example, are widely known to be slower periods where there are fewer housing and development deals being made.

The good news is that during the busy periods you can make quite a lot of money. When it’s slower you can take more of a break and do the things you want to do. It all evens out to become a pretty nice situation. All in all, if you’re interested in this kind of job you really can’t go wrong. The outlook for real estate careers is excellent!

What criteria will dictate a future into which some corporations will survive and prosper while others will wither and die? It will be how they create, distribute and utilize knowledge for business success.

Of course, what you know and how you use it is not a new paradigm. Man struggled with these questions since the dawn of time since the answers have either ensured his survival or guaranteed his demise. Now, in a universe of change at the speed of light and the geometric growth of new ideas and models, how companies deal with their intellectual assets is a primary driver of corporate survival.

This is why getting a handle on global trends affecting corporate knowledge is what will allow a company to make accurate market and financial predictions that will separate it from less able competitors. Right now there are three major global business trends affecting corporate knowledge and they are based on one idea-that business and technology are no longer separate areas, they are one and the same entity.

•Centralized and compartmentalized data storage of information with search and retrieval-

Up until now businesses relied on the brains of their key employees to store all of the key knowledge related to its operations. Thus, when these individuals left the company all of these precious intellectual resources went with them. Corporations then had to pay to rebuild this mental database all over again. Now there is a way to preserve this valuable information so that a foundation for corporate knowledge can be maintained, added to and built upon. More importantly such information can be transferred to new employees. Databases are set up containing all of the major work done by workers. This mental capital can then be kept as company property.

Then, for a relatively minimal cost, a private search engine can be purchased from Google which will allow any needed item in the database to be made available as needed. It works just like the major search engine provided by Google for the internet.

•The move from static data storage to interactive user interfaces-

Once you have installed the necessary data storage and retrieval systems described above, the next big move in business trends affecting corporate knowledge should be implemented, namely interactive software designed to allow the employee to think. This way, new and useful information gets created and distributed. This software works by means of thought provoking dialogues which help the user focus in on problem solving.

•The future is in global franchising

All of the corporate information gathered and analyzed has to be put out into the world in order that it may be tested, relied upon and built upon. The current global trend in this respect is what has come to be known as “open source-open content” information sharing. This means that while a central corporate entity develops important knowledge that can be used to create successful business models, it also means that sharing that information in the proper manner is essential to ultimate success. That information must be made available to others so that they can spread the message and its results.

This is where global franchising becomes the ultimate answer. Through global franchising the benefits of information sharing can be controlled by allowing for open source-open content to the various franchisees. They gain the benefit of getting a whole knowledge base which is already tried and tested and can be used worldwide. They have the benefit of a success winning trademark that symbolizes the businesses’ strength and integrity. One aspect of viral internet marketing that many people tend to overlook sometimes is that the more authoritative their blog becomes then it also becomes much more viral all on it’s own. This is easy enough to understand. Technically speaking viral internet marketing is based on the principles of "word of mouth" marketing which has been around for quite some time.

When we here of people with very popular blogs such as Darren Rowse of ProBlogger, or perhaps CopyBlogger, these guys’ blogs already have a viral marketing force working for them. Since their blogs have become so popular, when people are looking around for well known bloggers to learn from, you will find people always recommending their blogs in forum and other communities as place to go and learn. This is within itself a viral mechanism at work. It’s complete "word of mouth", just as in the old typical days of a simple recommendation.

 You might want to consider choosing a market carefully which has a strong future, and take the time to build it into an authority site. In due time, you can enjoy the viral marketing aspects as well.
